Setup: click Connect journal folder and choose the Elite Dangerous journal folder, normally
C:\Users\<you>\Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous. The page reads Status.json and the latest journal every 2 seconds, all on this PC.
Edge remembers the folder; on later visits the button says Reconnect and needs one click. Sub-pages (ships, materials, carrier, engineering) share the same connection.
